With a 1.6:1 shrink ratio, it transitions from an expanded ID of 0.230″ to a tight recovered ID of 0.144″, ensuring a secure fit. The 0.010″ wall thickness provides a balance of flexibility and durability, making it ideal for catheter insulation, delivery system components, and protective jacketing. Unlike Pebax tubing, FEP offers excellent chemical resistance and thermal stability, though it does not remain on the device post-shrink.
