Chamfr’s latest additions bring fresh innovation to wire and cable assemblies with two precision-engineered systems from Strand Products: the Beaded Wire System (BWS®) and Beaded Strand System (BSS®). These systems, available in stainless steel, nitinol, and tungsten, offer plug-and-play simplicity for engineers designing everything from steerable catheters to robotic arms—without the need for secondary hardware or terminal machining.
Both product lines use a proprietary process to create spherical beads at the end of solid wires or stranded cables, forming secure mechanical stops directly from the source material. The result? Fewer parts, less friction, and more streamlined builds.
Beaded Wire System (BWS®)
Strand Product’s Beaded Wire System® (BWS®) includes solid wire and tube-based assemblies made from stainless steel and nitinol. Each features a precisely formed bead, built to hold tolerances while eliminating the need for external anchors or connectors.

- Materials: 304 Stainless Steel, Nitinol
- Diameters: 0.015″–0.042″
- Lengths: 60″
- Bead sizes: 0.030″–0.060″ (±0.010″)

Beaded Strand System (BSS®)
For more flexibility and tensile strength, the Beaded Strand System® (BSS®) line features stranded stainless steel, nitinol, and tungsten cables with integrated spherical terminations.

- Constructions: 1×7, 1×19, 7×7, 7×37, 8×19
- Diameters: 0.006″–0.027″
- Lengths: 12″ or 60″

Ideal for: angioplasty guidewires, prosthetic linkages, robotic tools, and endoscopic systems where reliability, radiopacity, or compact geometry are critical.

- Plated Brass Grip (SG1): Threaded accessory for securing BWS®/BSS® components in test setups or device prototypes. Fits wire diameters from 0.015″–0.040″
