The MPP Open is designed to be a relaxed, high-quality afternoon of golf, networking, and connection with peers across the medical device and manufacturing ecosystem. Whether you’re here to compete, connect, or just enjoy a great course before the conference begins, the MPP Open sets the tone for the MPP Conference the next day.

• Course: Shoreline Golf Links (Mountain View, CA)
• When: The afternoon before the MPP Conference
• Format: 4-Person Scramble
• Check-in opens: 10:00 AM
• Bag lunch: 11:00 AM
• Shotgun start: 12:00 PM
• Capacity: Limited to 144 golfers

Please note: Club rentals are not available at this course.

Why Participate in the Golf Event?

Because we’re raising money for The Chamfr Future of MedTech Scholarship which invests in the next generation of engineers and innovators shaping the future of medical devices.

A portion of proceeds from the MPP Open funds the scholarship, supporting students pursuing STEM degrees aligned with medical device innovation, engineering, and advanced manufacturing.

Scholarship recipients will be announced and recognized at MPP East in June 2026, where we’ll celebrate their work alongside industry leaders and partners.

How the Scramble Works

Teams of four golfers play together in a classic scramble format:

Everyone tees off, the team selects the best shot, and all players hit from that spot. This continues until the ball is in the hole. One score per team is recorded for each hole.

To keep play moving and the day enjoyable for everyone, we’ll use a bogey max per hole — once a team reaches bogey, they’ll pick up and move on to the next tee.

It’s fast-paced, collaborative, and fun — and works well for golfers of all skill levels.

Prizes & On-Course Challenges

We’ll recognize teams and players throughout the day with awards for:

• Lowest overall team score
• Highest overall team score

We’ll also run a few on-course challenges, including:

• Closest to the Pin
• Longest Drive
• Longest Putt

Winners will be announced the following day at the beginning of the MPP conference.
