Zeus Now on Chamfr: PTFE Liners, FEP Heat Shrink, and FluoroPEELZ™ Peelable Heat Shrink for Faster MedTech R&D
In catheter development, iteration speed is everything.
Liner construction impacts trackability. Heat shrink affects assembly consistency. Material quality shows up in every build.
But for many teams, finding the right components still slows things down.
That’s why Zeus is now on Chamfr. A leading supplier of catheter liners and heat shrink fusing sleeves, now easier to access than ever.
The Real Challenge in Early-Stage Catheter Development
Early-stage catheter development is defined by a series of interconnected design decisions.
Small changes can have downstream effects on device performance, and how quickly you can evaluate and refine those decisions determines how fast development moves.
The challenge is not just finding a supplier. It’s finding the right combination of performance, consistency, and design flexibility to make confident decisions early.
Access to the right components, when you need them, helps reduce that friction.
PTFE Liners for Catheter Design Flexibility
Zeus has nearly 70 PTFE liners now available on Chamfr, giving teams access to a range of constructions designed to support different catheter designs.
Rather than limiting designs to a single liner approach, these options allow you to find what you need faster and evaluate tradeoffs between flexibility, wall thickness, and bonding performance.
Key Specs:
- ID: 0.0175″ – 0.330″
- Wall Thickness: 0.0005″ – 0.002″
- Length: ~72″
- Offered in Sub-Lite-Wall™, StreamLiner™, and StreamLiner™ NG. Liners are available with and without Tie Layer.
Commonly used in catheter inner liners, guidewire lumens, low-friction device channels, and multi-layer catheter constructions, these liners’ tight tolerances help maintain consistent performance across builds.
Ultra-low friction liners support smoother device tracking, while high temperature resistance (up to ~260 °C) enables compatibility with thermal processing steps. Plus, liners with Tie Layer help provide improved jacket-to-liner bond strength in multi-layer catheter constructions.
This allows engineers to dial in catheter assembly and bonding earlier and push toward smaller device profiles, enabling multiple design approaches in parallel.
Typical applications include most catheter designs in cardiovascular, peripheral vascular, neurovascular, structural heart, and electrophysiology markets, from guide catheters to steerable delivery systems.
FEP Heat Shrink & FluoroPEELZ™ Peelable Heat Shrink for Reliability and Consistency
Zeus has added 30+ FEP and FluoroPEELZ™ heat shrink SKUs on Chamfr, offering sizes and configurations for common catheter designs.
This makes it easier to quickly identify the right heat shrink and maintain consistent performance across builds, without needing to source across multiple suppliers.
Key Specs:
- Shrink Ratio: ~1.6:1
- Expanded ID: ~ 0.026″ – 0.400″
- Recovered ID: ~ 0.016″ – 0.25″
- Wall Thickness: ~0.008″ – 0.010″
- Length: ~72″
These ready-to-ship heat shrink solutions deliver predictable shrink behavior that helps reduce variability during processing.
Consistent performance across sizes supports more standardized assembly, while peelable options enable faster, cleaner removal.
This makes it easier to refine, reduce rework, and maintain reliability and consistency as designs evolve.
Designed to Reduce Iteration Cycles
Faster iteration comes down to having the right components at the right time.
With ready-to-ship options fit for your needs, spend less time sourcing, more time prototyping, and keep development moving forward.
