Catheter construction is a delicate process with little room for error, especially in the final step of removing the recovered heat shrink from the catheter shaft. FluoroPEELZ™ peelable heat shrink brings simplicity to this final step, making it quicker, easier, and safer! With a simple linear tear, operators can quickly and evenly peel the heat shrink fusing sleeve away from the recovered catheter shaft. Used over low-durometer jackets such as Pebax®, polyurethanes, and nylons, FluoroPEELZ™ helps eliminate nicks and scrapes commonly seen when “skiving off” traditional FEP heat shrink. FluoroPEELZ™ excels in neurovascular and other critical small-diameter catheter applications. Zeus can provide FluoroPEELZ™ heat shrink in custom shrink ratios to fine-tune radial compression for optimized reflow and jacket-to-liner adhesion.
