With an expanded ID of 0.069″ and a recovered ID of 0.051″, it provides a final wall thickness of 0.0095″ after shrinking, ensuring a thin yet durable layer. Its low shrink temperature makes it ideal for reflow bonding, catheter insulation, and protecting delicate components in medical devices like delivery systems. Unlike PTFE, FEP shrinks at a lower temperature while maintaining excellent chemical resistance and electrical insulation.
