New Chamfr Supplier: Optinova

Getting the right heat shrink quickly is critical when you’re building, laminating, bonding, or forming catheter assemblies.

That’s why Optinova is now bringing 64 in-stock FEP heat shrink SKUs to Chamfr, giving R&D teams even more off-the-shelf options to choose from across two product families.

The selection includes 32 FEP Heat Shrink SKUs and 32 FEP QuickShrink™ SKUs, all shipping in 1–2 business days.

Standard FEP supports catheter lamination and bonding, while FEP QuickShrink™ gives engineers a lower-temperature, faster-shrinking option when working with low-melt materials or thermally sensitive components.

More sizes. Two processing options. Less waiting for the heat shrink your build needs.

More In-Stock Options for Your Catheter Build

With 64 options available, engineers have more flexibility to match the heat shrink to their device design.

Across both product families, the lineup includes a 1.6:1 shrink ratio, expanded IDs ranging from approximately 0.033 to 0.509 inches, recovered IDs from about 0.022 to 0.338 inches, and 0.008- or 0.010-inch recovered wall options with a ±0.002-inch tolerance. Tubing is available in 60- or 71-inch lengths, with 10 lengths per bag.

That gives teams a broad range of ready-to-ship options for catheter lamination, bonding, reflow, and forming without having to start with a custom request.

From there, the choice comes down to the process: standard FEP for lamination and bonding, or FEP QuickShrink™ when lower-temperature processing matters.

Maintain Consistent Jacketing During Lamination and Bonding

Consistent heat shrink behavior is key for a controlled reflow process.

Optinova FEP heat shrink

Optinova’s standard FEP Heat Shrink is designed to provide tight, uniform jacketing during reflow, with consistent batch-to-batch performance.

32 options are now available on Chamfr:

  • Expanded IDs from 0.0327–0.509″
  • Recovered IDs from 0.0217–0.338″
  • 0.008″ or 0.010″ recovered walls
  • 60″ or 71″ lengths

For R&D teams refining catheter shafts and bonded assemblies, that combination of dimensional choice and consistent heat shrink performance helps maintain a more controlled process as designs evolve.

Lower-Temperature Processing with FEP QuickShrink™

When a build includes low-melt materials or thermally sensitive components, processing temperature becomes a bigger consideration.

FEP QuickShrink™ shrinks faster and at lower temperatures than conventional FEP heat shrink, giving engineers another option for assemblies where reducing heat exposure is important.

Optinova FEP heat shrink

It is suited for tube bonding, reflow processing, and forming, while maintaining FEP characteristics including transparency, lubricity, chemical resistance, and a non-stick surface.

The QuickShrink™ range covers:

  • Expanded IDs from 0.0327–0.500″
  • Recovered IDs from 0.0217–0.336″
  • 0.008″ or 0.010″ recovered walls
  • 60″ or 71″ lengths

For catheter development involving more heat-sensitive materials, QuickShrink™ gives engineers a way to reduce processing temperature and shrink time while still getting the FEP properties needed for the application.

Choose the Option for Your Build Faster

Across both configurations, quickly filter and compare IDs, wall thickness, length, and processing behavior to find the option that best fits your design needs.

With all 64 SKUs in stock and shipping in 1–2 business days, keep development moving without waiting for a custom tubing lead time.
