Prototype Faster with Ultimate Wireforms’ Wire & Springs Now Available
You can find the right dimensions or geometry on paper, and it can still be wrong for the build.
How it forms, routes, winds, fits, or terminates also depends on the material, construction, and form you’re working with.
That’s why Ultimate Wireforms now offers 25 in-stock options across Nitinol, 302 stainless steel, and Beta-III titanium wire, and Nitinol springs on Chamfr, all ready to ship in 1–2 business days.
Whether you’re forming a catheter or guidewire component, routing wire through a tight assembly, checking spring geometry, or shaping a flexible feature, these new options give you even more ready-to-ship starting points for faster development.
Simplify Forming and Joint Prep with Super Elastic Nitinol Wire
Ultimate Wireforms’ super elastic single-strand Nitinol wire gives engineers five in-stock options for streamlined testing and assembly work.
Because the wire is free of oxide, teams can move into forming and joining-preparation steps without first removing an insulating layer.
Available across multiple diameters, the wire gives teams options to evaluate fit and handling as requirements evolve across coil winding, routing, catheter reinforcement, shaping fixtures, laser-weld preparation, solder-sleeve preparation, and adhesive-bonding trials.
Get More Compliance Through Tight Bends with Multi-Strand Stainless Steel
When a solid wire feels too rigid for the route, Ultimate Wireforms’ multi-strand 302 stainless steel gives engineers a more flexible, cable-like construction without giving up the strength and familiarity of stainless steel.
That combination can be especially useful in compact, dynamic assemblies where the wire needs to bend repeatedly, transmit force, and maintain reliable attachment through a small profile. Think catheter pull wires, control cables, lead and electrode assemblies, sensor harnesses, and other mechanisms where teams are balancing flexibility, tensile strength, repeated flexing, low friction, predictable elongation, and termination reliability.
For a steerable catheter, the multistrand wire can function much like a miniature control cable, transmitting pull force through a long, flexible shaft without requiring the space or stiffness of a comparable solid wire.
Available Configurations:
Twisted Strand
With 0.0155″, 0.0175″, 0.0195” OD options, twisted-strand constructions support tighter bends, fixture-guided placement, winding, and crimp or swage terminations in catheter, lead, electrode, and sensor assemblies.
Coaxial
For builds where compact, concentric geometry matters, the coaxial wire uses a 5-around-1 construction to support precise routing and consistent outer dimensions.
It can be used for coil winding, micro-connector crimping, solder or weld joining, overmolding, jacket application, and alignment within multi-lumen catheter shafts.
Overall, 302 stainless multistrand wire gives engineers a small-profile, flexible mechanical cable capable of transmitting meaningful force through a tortuous device path without the space or stiffness of a comparable solid wire.
Balance Formability and Springback with Beta-III Titanium Wire
For prototyping work, Ultimate Wireforms now offers ready-to-ship straight Beta-III titanium wire in five diameters:
- 0.016″
- 0.018″
- 0.027″
- 0.032″
- 0.036″
The 14-inch lengths can be cut to size for locating holes, alignment features, fixture builds, pilot assemblies, and other development work where fit and geometry may change as the design evolves.
What makes Beta-III especially useful is its rare combination of formability, springback, lower stiffness than stainless steel, and a nickel-free chemistry. That gives engineers another material alternative when they need something more compliant and shapeable than stainless steel, without the full super elastic behavior of Nitinol.
These properties make Beta-III titanium well suited for catheter and guidewire-related components, delivery systems, positioning elements, shapeable distal sections, orthopedic and dental components, and other minimally invasive device mechanisms.
The result? A shapeable, spring-like titanium option for more control over prototype geometry while maintaining useful flexibility and springback.
Evaluate Spring Fit and Clearance in the Assembly
Ultimate Wireforms’ in-stock Nitinol springs also give engineers multiple coil geometries to work with during prototype assembly and fit checks.
The lineup includes open-coil and stop-wound configurations across multiple wire sizes, ODs, and IDs, helping teams easily evaluate clearance, mating-component fit, available guide space, and coil geometry within devices.
