Product Description

Pebax & Polyolefin 4:1 Heat Shrink Tubing is useful when the starting inner diameter must be much larger than the final substrate, or when the goal is an ultra-thin final wall under 1 mil.

This 4:1 heat shrink tubing kit includes 14 pieces of both Pebax and Polyolefin in 12-inch lengths, allowing engineers to evaluate material behavior, bonding characteristics, and processing windows within a consistent shrink platform.

  • Pebax 4:1 heat shrink forms a thermal bond to underlying polymers or metals and remains on the device after processing, eliminating removal or reflow steps.
  • Polyolefin 4:1 heat shrink offers a low shrink temperature, rapid recovery, and durable moisture and vapor barrier performance, making it well suited for lower-temperature processes.

Common medical device uses include outer layers for catheter shafts, coverage of coils and braids, jackets for laser-cut hypotubes, and coatings for tapered guidewires where minimizing wall thickness is important.
